Nov. 4, CHICAGO IL again, another bookstore.
This time? It rains. So hard that while motor-boating across town to
bookstore, water pours in through Vette's supposedly sealed T-tops.
Luckily, blue-jean material on left thigh and left side of jacket soak up
most of it. Rosie soaks up remainder. While parking at store, Chicago Fire
Department Scuba Team arrives on scene in big red truck -- this really
happened. Inside, expect only family to show up, since they have no
choice. But then in addition, three complete strangers swim in and they're
there for the reading. I am awed. Unworthy! Unworthy! Above is photo
